The agritourism La Costa is equipped with mini lodgings complete with kitchens.

On request guests can have lunch or dinner with local typical products: tagliatelle with porcino mushrooms, tortelli stuffed with herbs, different sorts of salt cakes (potatoes, herbs and rice), walnut tagliatelle, Castagnaccio (a typical walnut cake) and game meat.

The agritourism has four covered garages and paddocks for horses. Moreover, the farm La Costa bears and sells its own products like vegetables, mutton and castagnaccio.

We have a dining room for 30-35 people at the most where we serve home cuisine made mainly with the products of our farm. Booking is appreciated

Overnight stay

We have a new rebuilt flat with independent entrance at the first stage. The flat is complete with a living room equipped with a cooking corner, one bedroom and one bathroom with shower. The flat is for 4 people at most.

After we moved here from Milan, we decided to turn into reality everything we have always believed in: the biological agriculture for a healthy eating, the protection of nature and biodiversity, a slower life style (even though as hard as any other ones) which makes us fully enjoy breathtaking landscapes and wild animals coming out from the pinewood.

The enchantment of being awaken from the chirp of titmice, of cultivating and seeing the fruit which grows, the emotion of watching the sky with so many stars that it seems that are about to fall down.

All this, and more over is what we want to share with you.

Il Goreto is a small rural complex whose block of houses, some of them still intact, surround a small paved yard with a fountain which was originally for the stables.

This area is on the side of the Corona hill, a thick chestnut wood renowned for the mushroom picking.

The main house is near a hill where ancient fruit trees and wonderful linden trees grow.

The fact that it is quite difficult to reach this small area contributes to make it very quiet. Those people who love to be in contact with nature in all its freedom can make brief excursions to the near alta via dei monti liguri promoted by the municipality of Varese Ligure. Here it is possible to enjoy a wonderful landscape: grasslands, beech woods and ancient farms which cultivate biological products.

Back to the agritourism, guests can taste a high quality typical cuisine based on home made products like honey, jams, conserves, spirits and of course everything that grows in our gardens like vegetables, mushrooms and aromatic herbs.

The house was built in 1909 as the door inscription indicates and it is surrounded by a yard closed by an art nouveau balustrade which faces the fruit trees. The interiors are large with two homely dining rooms which are warmed by the wood stove. The furnishing of the rooms, which are all on the first floor, is conceived in order to make them cosy and comfortable.

Hospitality is the key word of the Taro Valley which has a great range of accommodation facilities like family-run agritourisms, campsites, bed&breakfast, hotels and eco-villages.

Most of them have their own website which describes their characteristics, localization, surrounding attractions and services.

Moreover, they all offer  tradition dishes made of homemade typical products and therefore healthy and genuine.

In the area there are clubs, bars and pubs as well as discos which offer any sort of entertainment.

Spending the free time in the Taro Valley also means to take care of one’s body and mind, therefore there are sports halls, swimming pools and wellness centres.
